Bethany
The Bethany Ministry was established to provide assistance to the Priest in the service of a Christian burial at St. Jerome's. The Ministry consists of an Organist (singer and choir - optional), in addition to five other volunteers. A Cross Bearer. Two Acolytes assist the Priest during the mass- e.g. bringing the wine and water, ringing the bells etc. One individual, to carry the Boat; Holy Water used to bless the coffin. One individual, to carry the Thurible which is the container for burning incense. And on request by the family, the Ministry may be asked to provide a Reader. If you are available day time and week-days, consider volunteering some time to this Ministry. Training is provided.
